Executive Vice President of Inclusion & Para Pickleball –

 

Francine LOOK-HONG brings a lifelong passion for inclusive sports to her role as Executive Vice President of Inclusion & Para Pickleball for The Pickleball World Federation (ThePWF). Her dedication to expanding access began in Trinidad, growing into a career focused on creating opportunities for athletes of all abilities. 

 

  • Francine is dedicated to ensuring that no athlete is left behind. Her expertise in adaptive sports, including certifications in Wheelchair Tennis, Boccia, and Athletics, directly drives inclusive participation and breaks down barriers for persons with disabilities globally.

  • As co-founder of PlayAble Caribbean, Francine developed and implemented community and school sports programs, including coaching workshops and sports demonstrations, recognized by the Ministries of Sport, Community, and Education. She leverages these educational frameworks to foster inclusion through knowledge and skills transfer.

  • By expanding the reach of pickleball to athletes with disabilities, she champions the role of sport as a powerful tool for promoting physical and mental health, resilience, and equitable well-being across communities.

 

Francine's foundation was built on early athletic success in tennis, representing Trinidad, and later developing her skills as a sports writer. She has been instrumental in introducing adaptive sports, such as Boccia, to several Caribbean nations and holds referee status with the US Boccia Organization.
