Global Sports Leadership & Impact: A respected figure in Asian sports, HON is a pioneer in pickleball's expansion across Southeast China. He played a key role in establishing the Pickleball Federation of Hong Kong, China, and co-founded the Pickleball United South China Cities in the Greater Bay Area, concrete examples of his strategic approach to establishing strategic regional structures. His mandate is to replicate this success across Asia to ensure the sport's integrity and its independent future worldwide.

 

Academic & Developmental Expertise: HON's diplomatic approach is underpinned by an exceptional four-decade career as a dedicated educator and sports specialist. He holds the distinction of being the first graduate of the University of Hong Kong's Master of Sports Science and has been recognized with multiple Outstanding Teaching Awards during his tenures at prestigious institutions, including The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK). His expertise in coach and player development is further evidenced by over 30 years as a part-time lecturer at the Hong Kong Sports Institute.

 

Innovation & Cultural Competency: A testament to his innovative vision, HON successfully pioneered the introduction of FloorCurling to over 500 Hong Kong schools, demonstrating an ability to strategically integrate new sports into diverse educational systems. His fluency in English and Chinese (his first language) ensures effective, culturally nuanced diplomacy across the continent.
